A few weeks back a friend and I drove the two-hour-drive to Hamar and the big autumn-market there. It’s the biggest here in the Nordic countries.
You can find pretty much anything there, and sellers from all around Norway travel to Hamar to sell their things.
I have some pieces of the Figgjo tableware in yellow and I have never seen it in pink before. My friend is a big Figgjo fan,...

Very unexptected, but very appreciated: a few days in Helsinki.
In August I applied for a new job. Along with 200 others.
I was one of the four lucky ones. Marimekko hired me!
And therefore I was sent to Helsinki. For training days at Marimekko HQ while staying at Klaus K hotel. Three intense days, but oh so good.
(Bad) weather can be so beautiful.

While Mikke prefers to sleep on the couch, paws in the air, this little friend stays loyal and keeps me company.
Bought on the coldest day in November last year, and was found by an “accident” when tempted by hot chocolate and a Christmas fair. Cost me less than a metro ticket.
Definitely the prettiest bottle opener I’ve ever owned.

How can you resist Ekeby gård?
I mean - how can you resist bunny eared goats from South Africa living in a goat tower?
A cheeky Donald Duck in new feathers?
And the best café mocha (made of South African coffee) with a Ekeby bun, in the coziest surroundings?
I have no idea.

Wet, wet, wet.
(but still a little bit exciting!)

A year ago it was still summer, we went treasure hunting at the flea market in Fredrikstad (placed in the center of old town) and ate ice cream.
Today it’s pouring down, my shoes are wet and a hot cup of tea is a necessity.
I wish I could fill my house with lavender!
Morning routines:
Mikke is definitely not an early riser!
Sometimes the best places to go is “just around the corner” and not at the opposite end of the world.
I love Norway in the autumn.
Today I started autumn.
Yesterday, walking in the woods I suddenly noticed the yellow leaves and the huge amount of mushroom.
Today it rained. Like real autumn rain.
So I baked vanilla buns and drank Kusmi tea.
My final exam - brief number 6: Show a feeling without photographing humans.
Are you able to guess which feelings these pictures are showing?

A good friend asked me to join her for a trip to our local thrift store, and of course I had to say yes! We’ve known each other for about 6 years and recently we’ve discovered that we both have a huge passion for decorating and interior design. Especially the 50s/60s style. Lucky her is starting on her interior designer education this August!
I’ve found several things there...
Nowadays I’m longing for summer vacation. This year I’m spending three weeks in my summer paradise: Mariefred, Sweden. And I really can’t wait!
While reminiscing I realised that I haven’t shown anything from last years trip:
Mikke was only a puppy back then, about 4-5 months old. This was his first meeting with the water. This year I’m hoping he’ll learn...

I’m feeling very creative atm: I’m drawing, I’m photographing and I’m looking forward to coming projects. Like this coming Saturday: wedding photography! Exciting!
Going through my pictures, choosing which ones will be added to my portfolio, I found these from February.
It was raining late that evening, and during the night the rain froze. The next morning the trees sounded like chandeliers in the wind. Quite amazing, isn’t it?
(and such a contrast to todays weather: 20 degrees Celcius and sun!)
(38/365)
… and one that didn’t make the cut.
Some pictures from an amazing Easter: long walks with Mikke, lots of dog training (obedience and tracking), good food and fantastic weather! I can’t remember having any better Easter holiday!

Today.
A year ago 8 kelpie puppies were born. Only 6 of them made it through, and now one of them is celebrating his first birthday here with me. Congratulations Mikke!
Mikke is trying his best moves on Maya. No success this time, though.
A good weekend.
Drove to Moss, saw the sea.
Apparently I wasn’t the only one to enjoy it.
Continued to Ekeby gård.
Said hi to their South-African goats with bunny ears.
And had a café mocha with a cinnamon bun.
+ Made banana/cinnamon muffins on friday, based on this recipe. I’m longing for more.
+ I’m tempted and I want to try to do a 365 project. But a little...
Currently: drinking tea, working on a brochure, worrying about Mikke. He’s on antibiotics and not quite himself.
I’m loving the fact that you now can feel the warmth of the sun and the snow is melting.

Met up with a friend and her Alaskan Husky (Odin, 6 months old) today and brought my new camera for some testing. I’m glad I didn’t know the temperature before later, because it was FREEZING already without knowing! But Mikke and Odin had a lot of fun and I got a lot of chances to photograph them. The conclusion? I’m impressed!
Looking back on 2010 it was quite a year; I gratuated, Mikke became a part of my life and I enrolled as a photography student. Best book: For the past few years I have had a goal to read 100 books within a year. It’s been years since I read over 100 books per year, and even longer since I managed 200. But this year was still quite a good one with about 40 books. Some of my favourites this...
