Graphic designer born 1986. Currently studying photography.

Finished a BA spring 2010. Spent an amazing autumn term 2009 at Central Saint Martins, London.

Design (in all kind of shapes) is a big passion. Dogs are another. Love photography and books, and prefer tea to coffee.

A few weeks back a friend and I drove the two-hour-drive to Hamar and the big autumn-market there. It’s the biggest here in the Nordic countries.

You can find pretty much anything there, and sellers from all around Norway travel to Hamar to sell their things.

I have some pieces of the Figgjo tableware in yellow and I have never seen it in pink before. My friend is a big Figgjo fan, and even I, who’s definitely not a fan of pink, got excited.

Monica found a lot of things, but for me it wasn’t really my year. Probably most of the good things was already gone and I found only a few Finnish items (Iittala, Arabia etc) and they were mostly from the 90s.

In the end I bought three plates from Figgjo and a bright yellow toycar (VW beetle).

Sometimes I feel I’m a little schizo - one day I obsess about the The Stelton Cylinda-Line pitcher and the next day I buy a bright yellow toycar. Where’s the link? Several times I’ve read in the magazines - “Only buy and surround yourself with things you love”, and I guess that’s what I’m doing. Even though it seems very schizo from time to time! ;)

And yes, Christmas is approaching fast - only 37 days left they said on the radio this morning (hooray!):

+ Helene Bøksles Lys til nattsvart jord has become one of my favourites for Christmas.
+ Marimekko’s designer has set their Christmas tables. Which one is your favourite?
